Under Gods Command

John the Baptist had prepared the way for Jesus by preaching repentance. The apostle’s message of salvation also included the call to repentance-acknowledging personal sin and turning away from it. Many people want the benefits of being identified with Christ without admitting their own disobedience and turning from sin. The key to forgiveness is confessing your sin and turning from it.

When we repent, God promises not only to wipe out our sins, but also to bring spiritual refreshment. Repentance may at first seem painful because it is hard to give up certain sins. But God will give you a better way. As Hosea promised, “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth” (Hosea 6:3) Do you feel a need to be refreshed?

The time when God will “restore everything” refers to the second coming, the Last Judgment, and the removal of sin from the world.

Acts: 3:19-21 Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you-even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.

Please remember that these emails are going to over 100 people.  I used BCC to keep your email address private.  I just want to share my own personal walk with you, and yes, please hold me accountable for my actions.   I love you all with the love of Jesus and there is nothing that you can do about it.

Stop making your Children Codependent. I remember when I was small and wanted this kawasaki 90 Mini Bike. It was 300 Dollars, and I will never forget. I was about 13 or 14 and my Mom told me if you pay 150, I will pay the other half. I work like a dog to get that 150. After getting the Mini Bike, I really took care of it because I worked for it, and it was just not given to me. It made me appreciate it that much more and I thank my mom for the help she gave me.
Children today don’t appreciate a dam thing because its being given to them. Parents are paying for their children car repairs, and much more and not requiring them to put one dime towards it. Stop it! Stop it now before its to late. Make them have a savings towards car repairs and emergencies. Put your emotions aside and do what you should do.

Jesus be Praised!

Under Gods Command

Romans:  16:17-20 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned.  Keep away from them.  For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites.  By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naïve people.  Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.  The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

When we read books or listen to sermons, we should check the content of what is written or said and not be fooled by smooth style.  Christians who study God’s Words will not be fooled, even though superficial listeners may easily be taken in.

Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Lets Bring it home: How do you evaluate sermons and teaching?  The people in Berea opened the Scriptures for themselves and searched for truths to verify or disprove the message they heard.  Always compare what you hear with what the Bible says.  A preacher or teacher who gives God’s true message will never contradict or explain away anything that is found in God’s Word.
