We have said before that humility is very important. We must walk humbly before God. The honor must come from God and not man. If we fear God, we will follow in His ways. We will study his Word and know what His will is for our life. If we fear (respect), Him, our desire will be to please him. This fear actually means we will love Him and respect Him and do everything we can do to obey His commandments and the things He has told us to do (through Jesus), in the New Testament
Proverbs 15:33 Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 15:32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.

A person who refuses to be taught is hurting himself more than anyone else. An unlearned person makes many mistakes. He has no facts to work with. The person who wants to understand will listen carefully to someone who knows more, and will even take correction from that person to learn.
Proverbs 14:35 A King delights in a wise servant, but a shameful servant arouses his fury.

We see that many times the king will choose a godly man to take care of things in his country because of the wisdom God has given him. Joseph is a good example of this when he stored food and saved Egypt and his people as well.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.
Posted: December 13, 2020 in Proverbs 14, Proverbs 14:34, UncategorizedThe United States was exalted as a nation for many years because we were founded upon Biblical principles. God blessed America because of its rich Christian heritage. Our country in recent years has gotten very far away from godly teaching, and we are becoming a reproach. As a nation, we must return to God quickly and God will help us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
While just principals and actions preserve and even exalt a society, their absence shames a society.
Marriage and Divorce (For Better and for Worse, Richer and Poor, Sickness and in Health and till Death do us Part)

I had to Repent and ask God for forgiveness for number 1 getting a divorce, and 2 for getting remarried.
This is a Vow some of us made before God. But how many of us broken these vows due to our own desires or did not know what Bible said about Marriage and Divorce and making Vows to the LORD. I feel before anyone gets married or even think about it needs to sit down with someone of faith and get this explain to them. Notice I did not say a Minister or Pastor, because all Ministers and Pastors do not preach this along with other Commands of the Bible. I came up in a broken home, and I seen what it does to the family, I am still living in the consequences of divorce from my Mother and Father and my own divorce as I approach 60 years of age. Yes, I am a divorce and remarried, and if I had this broken down like this to me, I would never had gotten remarried (Don mean I don’t love my current Wife), and probably would not have divorced. My job now is to not let this happen to other people. I know some strong Women who stayed after their Husband committed adultery. That is the Worse part of the Vows. Now they are still a family, and all together. I commend all of you who were married for the first time and are still together today.
Think about it, the same Vow you made to God in the first marriage is the same when you get remarried.
Two Questions: Does God Allow Divorce and Does God allow for you to Remarry.
1 Corinthians 10:10-11 10But for those who are married, I have a command that comes not from me, but from the Lord. A wife must not leave her husband. 11But if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to him. And the husband must not leave his wife.
Romans 7:1-3 1Now, dear brothers and sisters you who are familiar with the law don’t you know that the law applies only while a person is living? 2For example, when a woman marries, the law binds her to her husband as long as he is alive. But if he dies, the laws of marriage no longer apply to her. 3So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.
Paul uses marriage to illustrate our relationship to the law. When a spouse dies, the law of marriage no longer applies. Because we have died with Christ, the law can no longer condemn us. Since we are united with Christ, his Spirit enables us to produce good fruit for God. We now serve God, not by obeying a set of rules, but out of renewed hearts and minds that overflow with love for him.
Mark 10:11-12 10Later, when he was alone with his disciples in the house, they brought up the subject again (Divorce). 11He told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery against her. 12And if a woman divorces her husband and marries someone else, she commits adultery.”
Matthew 5:31-33 “You have heard the law that says, ‘A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.’ 32But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery. 33“You have also heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not break your vows; you must carry out the vows you make to the LORD.’
Divorce is as hurtful and destructive today as in Jesus’ day. God intends marriage to be a lifetime commitment (Genesis 2: 24). When entering into marriage, people should never consider divorce an option for solving problems or a way out of a relationship that seems dead. In these verses, Jesus is also attacking those who purposefully abuse the marriage contract, using divorce to satisfy their lustful desire to marry someone else. Are your actions today helping your marriage grow stronger, or are you tearing it apart?
Mathew 19-7-9“Then why did Moses say in the law that a man could give his wife a written notice of divorce and send her away?” they asked. 8Jesus replied, “Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God had originally intended. 9And I tell you this, whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery unless his wife has been unfaithful.”
We know two things for sure. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and God is merciful and forgiving. Every divorce is a result of sin, either on the part of one spouse or both. Does God forgive divorce? Absolutely! Divorce is no less forgivable than any other sin. Forgiveness of all sins is available through faith in Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:28; Ephesians 1:7). If God forgives the sin of divorce, does that mean you are free to remarry? Not necessarily. God sometimes calls people to remain single (1 Corinthians 7:7-87But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, 8So I say to those who aren’t married and to widows— it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am). Being single should not be viewed as a curse or punishment, but as an opportunity to serve God wholeheartedly (1 Corinthians 7:32-36). God’s Word does tell us, though, that it is better to marry than to burn with passion (1 Corinthians 7:99But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It is better to marry than to burn with lust). Perhaps this sometimes applies to remarriage after a divorce.
So, can you or should you get remarried? Can not answer that question. Ultimately, that is between you, your potential spouse, and, most importantly, God. The only advice here is for you to pray to God for wisdom regarding what He would have you do (James 1:5 5If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking).
Pray with an open mind and genuinely ask the Lord to place His desires on your heart (Psalm 37:4). Seek the Lord’s will (Proverbs 3:5-6) and follow His leading.
Malachi 2:16 “For I hate divorce!” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “So, guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”
Marriage is a work of God not man so only God can break it. Do you understand the seriousness of this passage?
Proverbs 10:27 The fear of the LORD adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.

As we studied previously in Proverbs: Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord”
The fear of the Lord means submission to the Lord and His revelation. The fear of the Lord is a state of mind in which one’s own attitudes, will, feeling, deeds, and goals are exchanged for God’s.
When one is afraid of something, he either runs from it or submits to it. The latter idea is in view here. It is a healthy fear, like the fear of electricity or the fear of one’s parents, which causes one to act in an appropriate manner. The beginning does not mean that “the fear of the Lord” is left behind in the course of acquiring wisdom, but that it is the controlling principle of wisdom.
The recurring promise of Proverbs is that generally the wise (the righteous who obey God), live longer (9:11), prosper (2:20-22), experience joy (3:13-18), and the goodness of God temporally (12:21), while fools suffer shame (3:35), and death (10:21).
Ecclesiastes 7:17 “Do not be overwicked, and do not be a fool-why die before your time?”
You see, good lives lived for God sometimes bring long life. One of the commandments is to honor father and mother, and that promises long life. It is pretty easy to see how someone who lives the evil life is certainly in danger of early death. They visit places where killing and cheating is going on (such as beer parlors and gambling places). Fear of God keeps us walking a holy path.
Proverbs 10:31-32 From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be silenced. 32 The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.

We read in Romans 3 of the evil mouth, tongues and throat.
Romans 3:13-14 “Their throats are open graves, their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
You see this is describing an evil mouth. This mouth is an opening where the issues of the heart come forth. This person has an evil heart. The message from the heart is in the mouth.
Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Finding Strength Through Testimony Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death

Your Testimony Strengthens Others. Did you know that we get strengthen of of your and other peoples Testimony. Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death Your testimony is about what you have experienced – what you have seen and heard. A real Christian can talk about their experiences with God through Jesus Christ. We as Christians are called to a relationship of real communication with the Son of God. God comes to live inside us. Things change. God deals with every person in a different way.
The more Christians that come forward and talk about how God has intervened in their life, the more people will begin to realize that God is for real, miracles do happen, and prayer works. This will inspire others to seek God and turn from their sins so that they too can know the peace and satisfaction that comes to a person who truly gives their life over to God.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls.

A wise person is a model of a meaningful life. In the same way a tree attracts people to its fruit, a wise person’s sense of purpose attracts others who want to know how they, too, can find meaning. Gaining wisdom, then, can be the first step in influencing others to come to faith in God. Leading people to God is important because it keeps us in touch with him while also offering eternal life to others.
Proverbs 11:31- If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

Contrary to popular opinion, no one sins and gets away with it. The faithful are rewarded for their faith. The wicked are punished for their sins. Don’t think for a moment that “it won’t matter” or “nobody will know” or “we won’t get caught.”
